I created this abstract image from a simple photograph of some incense smoke on a black background. I then inverted the image to make it black smoke on a white background. The color, believe it or not, was in the original shot; all I did was enhance it (a lot). Finally, since the shot was somewhat soft, I decided to add some paint strokes to create a bit of texture.
