What is the horizon? If you look it up, the dictionary will say it is an apparent boundary where the Earth meets the sky. But it is more than that. It is where the future meets the here and now. It is a new viewpoint, attitude, or thought. It is something to attain: a goal, a signpost in the distance. Yet it is a destination we never fully reach as it is always shifting, evolving, moving.
And we yearn for it. We long for new experiences, to expand our range of perception, to open our minds. We are always striving to remove the obstacles that block a clear line of site to the far-off horizon. What drives us forward toward that distant target? What stops us? What would we find should we ever get there? And what is beyond? These are just some of the many questions I explore through these photographs.
