A watercolor paint tray on a white background. There is something about a set of these simple paints that just makes me happy. Perhaps it reminds me of the hours and hours I spent creating page after page of refrigerator masterpieces as a child. Perhaps it is simply the spectrum of bright colors. Whatever it is, the why is not important. It makes me feel good and smile. And that is all that matters. Day 118 of 365 Copyright 2016 Scott Norris Photography www.scottnorrisphotography.com
"In every walk with nature one receives far more than he seeks." --John Muir Shot on a quiet, albeit cold and very icy, walk through the St. Francis Seminary Woods in St. Francis, Wisconsin, just south of Milwaukee along the shore of Lake Michigan. “We penetrated deeper and deeper into the heart of darkness” ― Joseph Conrad, Heart of Darkness Looking at this image, I imagine an intrepid explorer journeying deep into the dark, foreboding, and totally unexplored jungle. Danger lurks behind every tree. Will he find the lost civilization? Probably not, since this is a macro shot of a the base of a small fake plant we have in our house. The adventurer may find some lost dust bunnies or perhaps a marble or two hidden there by my son. Day 109 of 365 Copyright 2016 Scott Norris Photography www.scottnorrisphotography.com
