An old Chinese proverb says if you have two pennies, buy a loaf of bread with one and a lily with the other. While I'm sure there are many interpretations, I believe it means that you should feed your body and your soul equally and with everything you have. And that is certainly something I strive to do everyday. Day 274 of my 365 photo a day project.
Today is National Camera Day - a day we celebrate the photograph, the camera, and their inventions. While I couldn't find any history on the origin of the "holiday", Nicephore Niépce is credited with creating the first successful photograph in 1826/1827 on or about this time of year. So perhaps that is why it is celebrated today. Either way, I feel I'm obligated to do something to celebrate. Day 273 of my 365 photo a day project.
