I am blessed to live so close to such a wonderful hiking trail known as the Ice Age Trail. This part of the path is in the Kettle Moraine State Forest Lapham Peak Unit in southeast Wisconsin near Delafield. Day 227 of my 365 photo a day project.
As a slight nod to today's date, I wanted to create an image that contained or conveyed the number '13' in some fashion. And for some reason, the first thing that popped into my head was a baker's dozen - which of course is thirteen. And before you send me emails wondering if I can count, I do know that this mini muffin tin has twelve cups. But you do bake with it, which would make you a baker, and when finished, you'd have twelve muffins. Since you are a baker and they would be your muffins, that would make it a baker's dozen. ;-) Ok, perhaps that is a bit of a stretch, but it is my image, and my blog, so I say it works. He he. It's a bit strange to find a diesel gas pump sitting in an alley in a residential city neighborhood. It's not something you see everyday for sure. This one, however, belongs to the fine folks of Milwaukee Fire Department Station 27 - home of Engine 27 and Ladder Truck 5. Situated near the Milwaukee River in the East Side neighborhood, I'm guessing the pump was added quite a while after the firehouse was built way back in 1903. Day 225 of my 365 photo a day project.
