"Oh look out world, take a good look What comes down here You must learn this lesson fast and learn it well This ain't no upwardly mobile freeway Oh no, This is the road to hell" -- Chris Rea, The Road to Hell (Part II) Winding down a ravine from on top of the bluffs in Milwaukee's Lake Park down to Lincoln Memorial Drive along the shore of Lake Michigan, Ravine Road was once a busy street. However, an aging concrete footbridge over the road began to fail and the road was closed indefinitely. Not great for drivers, but it makes for some great photographs. High Falls, on the Little River in Transylvania County, is a 125 ft waterfall located in the DuPont State Forest, in the Blue Ridge Mountains of North Carolina.
My wife says this reminds her of the tree in Shel Silverstein's book, "The Giving Tree", hence the name. It lives along the Seven Bridges trail in Grant Park in South Milwaukee along Lake Michigan.
